Handshake Terms helps parties organize interests, compare tradeoffs, and draft preliminary terms. The service is a mediation and document-organization aid, not a law firm, lawyer referral service, or substitute for legal advice.
2. No Legal Advice
Outputs are not legal advice, are not guaranteed to be accurate or enforceable, and should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before either party signs, relies on, or acts on them.
3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you enter, the visibility choices you make, and all decisions about whether to accept, revise, sign, or use any proposed terms.
4. Appropriate Use
Do not use the service to coerce another party, hide material facts, produce unlawful terms, or handle emergency, regulated, court-specific, or high-stakes legal matters without professional counsel.
5. Accounts and Access
Session access is controlled by account magic links, owner cookies, party cookies, and invite codes. Keep invite links private. Session owners may rotate invite links and revoke party access.
6. Availability
The service is provided as an MVP without a warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular legal or commercial purpose.
